Here are the pics from the MLS listing of our house...

Family room off the kitchen. We laid Mexican tile in this room and I painted the walls a light sea blue color...

Living room and dining room - that will be painted a creamy white (I think). Picking paint is on the list for this weekend!

We are HOMEOWNERS!!

I started looking at houses online at the beginning of the year and this summer the hubby and I became serious about finding a house. We had a fabulous realtor, Alden Potts, and happened to find our house the first day we went looking!

It is just perfect for us - it is in the great neighborhood of Collier Hills; 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms (albeit very small bathrooms); adorable window seats in 2 of the bedrooms and in the sunroom; a great yard out front and a tree covered backyard; and the house is painted white brick - my absolute favorite.

To back up - this is definitely a first house - it is tiny! We are having to close in a bathroom to have a "true" master bath; I don't think we can fit a king size bed in our room; and there is very limited counter space in the kitchen.
It's definitely not the perfect house - but it's the "perfect" first house for us!

And what I am most excited about is..... DECORATING!! I can't even stand it!

I'm looking forward to sharing all my before and after pics - hopefully great furniture finds (at hopefully great prices) - and all the trials and tribulations of home ownership.

JAMES CARMICHAEL BROCK

Our nephew has arrived! Scott's sister had their little buddle of joy this afternoon. "Little" might not be the correct word - he came into the world at 9lbs 15oz and 21" long - a big boy :)

Lots of love to Megan and Michael and the whole Green and Brock family!

Home Sweet Home

We are the on the search for our first home. We have looked at tons of houses all over the cute neighborhoods of Atlanta and can't wait to settle in on one. Hopefully sooner than later we will have more to share :)

ITALIA

The hubby and I just got back from our one year anniversary vacation to Italy. We stayed in Rome, Positano and Florence with day trips to Capri, Amalfi and Tuscany. It was an absolutely amazing trip!

my smart one

I am so proud of my husband!! He took the six hour long Series 7 test on Tuesday hoping not to fail... and not only did he pass, he aced it with a 90%. Congrats hubby!!
